As part of the ICOM Documentation International Conference 2026, taking place in Tervuren from 16 to 20 November, the CIDOC CRM Spanish Translation Initiative, the House of European History, the CIDOC CRM SIG and ICOM DOCUMENTATION are pleased to invite you to a Satellite Working Day at the House of European History in Brussels on Sunday, 15 November 2026: Working Day Session on the Translation of CIDOC CRM and Multilingualism in Documentation: Challenges and Issues.
The working day will consist of two complementary sessions addressing different aspects of documentation and multilingualism:
Morning session – Methodology and Working Processes of CIDOC CRM Translation Groups (09:00–12:00)
This session is intended for members of CIDOC CRM translation groups and CIDOC CRM SIG members/invitees. It will provide an opportunity to exchange experiences, methodologies and working practices among international CIDOC CRM translation groups.
Afternoon session: Multilingual Documentation: Challenges in the Museum Management of Cultural Heritage (13:00–16:00)
Open to a broader documentation community and will explore the challenges and strategies involved in documenting cultural heritage in multilingual contexts, including methodological, technological and terminological aspects.
Conclusions and closing remarks (16:00-17:00)

- The sessions will be conducted in English, without interpretation or translation. Participation in the Satellite Working Day is free of charge. Please note that in-person participation is limited due to the capacity of the venue. Registration therefore does not automatically guarantee an in-person place; places will be confirmed by the organisers.
